Several
a. huge networking opportunities // a good venue for looking at outsourcing work especially in the field of graphic design, publishing, advertising, PR, marketing, photography
b. meeting bloggers in the flesh // let’s face it – sometimes a blogger may come on too strong in character on the Internet; blog meets are good ways to get to know the other 50% of the person. The results are usually gladly surprising. 🙂
c. maintain your Technorati Rank // not that it matters much but being linked by other blogs once every 6 months maintains your ranking; attending blog events is the best way to receive an influx of these consistent links
d. expand your social circle and maybe even find true love // 🙂

Not just your social circle but you eventually develop friendships. 🙂
10 feet lang ba yun? from my vantage point it looked like it was 20 feet and more!
You get to be part of local blog folklore! Hehe
I found my true love in a club meeting. And I have a friend who found her true love in Taste Asia!!! Hihihihi.
@AJ: it was 20? well from last I remember I was groggy from sleeping!
Networking face to face is an advantage that can not be denied. Exchanges by email are ok but in person allow a networking relationship to go to the next level.
Don’t forget to have business cards with your blof url to hand out to everyone you meet.
One thing I can say about blog events: It’s hard to set up and organize! I mean… take the Happy Slip event for example… obviously anyone who’s anyone online and knew who Happy Slip was wanted to be there! So you can just imagine the volume of people who wanted to attend. It was a headache… but worth it in the end. lol.
Speaking of bloggers dude… our Y Speak segment was shown yesterday. I MISSED IT! Were you able to catch it?
@Iggy: i missed it as well. I was waiting for Tiesto! According to Fritz and Noemi it was OK daw.
