I was a huge fan of the early swing classics, mostly by influence from my dad who made me listen to 100.3 RJ FM in all of my waking days as a child. So when I discovered a random post from an online forum on “Does anyone else know that this is a musical genre” I was hooked. The group was called Caravan Palace (actual song that got me hooked embedded above). The genre was Electro Swing. I did some research and found out that it was a real genre with a huge following. Electro Swing takes the classic swing culture and remixes them with house or R&B. Like so:
