A few chapters through The Perfect Thing, it was revealed that one of the factors that made th iPod a huge success was the feature that it could hold your entire library of music. Looking into one’s iPod was almost like baring that person’s soul as taste in music revealed a lot about a person. You’re naked.
So what’s on YOUR music player? It need not necessarily be an iPod that you own, or heck it may not even be a portable music player. Grab your iTunes or equivalent desktop music player and follow these instructions:
1.
2. Post them on your blog and explain yourself 🙂
3. Copy these instructions and tag 6 audiophiles to do the same thing 🙂
MUSIC REVELATIONS
Okay, this playlist is rather non traditional. My music varies from Kenny Loggins to John Mayer to Rachel Yamagata (sadly not reflected in this screenshot. Oh excuses!). I think my taste in music is a generation behind mine with some influx of what we have today.
Some talking points – Incognito hasn’t released an album in ages so when “Bees + Flowers + Things” was released I just had to grab a copy when it was playing over in the background at Fez. They have great remakes in Tin Man, That’s the Way of the World and mellow versions of their old stuff. Most of the songs in this Top 25 were chosen more for their rearrangments or because the piece was played on a guitar which is the only instrument I play.
I’m tagging Markku, Yuga, Lauren, Mike VIllar, Juned and AJ.
