Logged into Facebook and saw this prototype underwater housing for the Nikon D7000 made by Hugyfot. It seems to come in the same curved design like all of Hugy’s housings. Sled mounted housing is a big deal — at least you get the entire camera in without having to worry if didn’t put it in right.
Attached you’ll find some CAD/CAD pictures of the new Hugyfot housing for the Nikon D7000.
The housing will be equipped with some new features besides the HugyCheck system (standard on all housings):– sled mounting system that replaced the classic camera support
– fiber optic connection for fiber optic controlled TTL strobes
– dovetail mounting system for handles
– HDMI in/out for external monitorWe expect the first working prototypes to be ready early January 2011.
It’s not everyday you get an invitation from United States Ambassador Harry Thomas. It was a bit surreal — both being handed an invitation from his office and being invited to board a nuclear powered supercarrier.

If you value Nokia’s brand equity and have owned a succession of Nokia phones, you may wonder if there are other ways to backup or synchronize your data apart from using the Nokia PC Suite. If you’re on a Mac, you can use the iSync plugin, but Nokia has introduced two ways to sync data to make switching phones easier.
OK, enough of basketball and we’re now back to the geekiness. Today, Juno showed off the new NB200 which is Toshiba’s take on the netbook. Although a bit late in the game compared to other brands the NB200 is showered with praise. Three USB ports (one of which is a charging port), external VGA out, removable battery, webcam, and really big letters on the keypad make this mini lovely.
