Spotify launches in the Philippines; Premium Access for PHP 129 / mo

Surprise! I’ve been using Spotify Premium since February!

Before April 8, going to the Spotify website would give you a “Spotify is not available in your country” message (unless you’re using a proxy of course). Well, not anymore! Spotify officially launches in the Philippines today, at 11:00 AM with Premium Access for PHP 129.00 a month payable via credit card or PayPal. The soft launch done by Coca Cola Philippines gives you access to the desktop versions of Spotify. Today, you can now download the Spotify app from the local iTunes store and the Google Play Store.

Sony shows off country’s first 84-inch 4K TV; sells for PHP 1.2 Million

You need to see it to believe it folks. Yesterday, Sony Philippines pulled out a number of wildcards from Japan. Apart from featuring the new VAIO Duo 11 and VAIO Tap 20 both running on Windows 8, they were also the first to showcase an 84-inch 4K television which will be made available to the (opulent) public for the holidays. The XBR-84X900 is a wonder that goes (waaaay!) over and beyond the “traditional” 1080p resolution. This 4k TV comes with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and if those numbers mean nothing to you, it simply means that if you’re watching great blu-ray movies on your 40″ or 60″ LED TV, imagine even better “pop out” quality on a bigger 84-incher.

Product Review: CD-R King Rice Cooker (does it really work?!) for PHP 350.00

Due to popular demand from friends, we decided to pursue a second episode for the CD-R King review series. Again, we’re not sure where to go from here but it seems like this is really going somewhere. Anyway, in this episode, Rico and I respond to a question most of you have been dying to ask: is the CD-R King rice cooker for real?

This episode actually turned out better than expected because Rico and I don’t know how to cook rice.

Also, we decided to put our videos up on its own domain.
