Thesis: Blog Networks should NOT rely on Text Link Ads or Google AdSense
Aaron Brazell, our technology manager at b5media confirmed a suspicion I’ve kept to myself. A few weeks ago, Cellphone9.com dropped from a solid Google PageRank 6 to a 5 and then today, a 4. Darren Rowse’s ProBlogger also dropped from a towering 7 to a measly 4. Same goes for Brian Clark’s Copyblogger. Must be…

Update 3: Glorietta ‘Bombing’ photos taken by INQUIRER.net from bloggers
More than the INQUIRER breaking news page, “Disney” has been getting a lot of traffic over at his Multiply site for the photos he took of the bombing this morning at the Ayala Glorietta malls. I was actually nearby when this happened, attending a press conference for the new line of SHARP TV’s with Yuga.…

Two Blog Openings
Takashi of Yanko Design is looking for contributing authors for his blog. Yanko Design is perhaps one of the more famous, if not the most prominent blog on anything to do with design and innovation. I’ve been in touch with the guy for the past few months and he’s pretty cool to deal with. If…

Stephen Colbert: I am America (And So Can You!)
I’m a faithful listener of Leo Laporte’s TWiT podcasts. For the past few weeks they took in Audible.com as a sponsor partner offering a free audio book (1 credit) and a 14 day free trial. To many peoples’ disappointment though – most especially to the international crowd, the free audio books were not made available…

A Toblerone Thank You via Free Music
Yet another traditional industry – the chocolate industry, to be more specific – has jumped into the online viral marketing bandwagon. Toblerone has collaborated with a selection of local artists to release a torrent friendly album. This effort is actually part of a campaign to establish Manila as a ‘Thank You’ Capital:

An attempt to bring back Philippine Radio Drama
Last night, a few of us aspiring voice actors made an attempt to bring back the cheesy yet classic art of Philippine radio drama shows we often heard on AM radio into the Philippine Internet. Without further ado, here is the episode entitled “Ang Buhay ni Boy” (The Life of Boy). Apologies to the foreign…

iPod touch hands on impressions and prices
“Touch me not!” said the iPod touch, as the mad crowd made their way to the front, manhandling Apple’s wafer thin iPod. The official prices of the new Apple iPod line was announced today for the Philippine market. Though the iPod shuffle, iPod nano and iPod classic have been spotted in several Apple retailers, there…

Speedlinking 19/9/2007
Today is going to be especially memorable for me as I start my adventure in bikram yoga. While I sweat inside a human-sized toaster, here are some links for you to enjoy: As tradition goes, here is the link to the schedule for Philippine Christmas Bazaars 2007. Royal Elastics, the guys behind the lace-less shoes,…

Which local telco will Apple partner with for the iPhone?
Slowly, but surely, the (legitimate) iPhone launch is making its way to Asia. Apple has recently partnered with O2 in the UK to be exclusive telco to distribute the iPhone. The added perk with this partnership is that the iPhone will have unlimited access to the Cloud partner hotspots around the UK.

Yay, I made Technorati front page
It was My Good Finds that informed me of this in the form of a comment. I actually do not know the repercussions of becoming a “featured blog” as I surmise that the lottery draw for this is completely random. Now, a front page Digg .. now that’s something. Nonetheless, it’s nice to get some…
