Zalora is powered by the guys from rather controversial Rocket Internet. These are the ones who created Pinspire, which is very similar to Pinterest in order to appeal to regional markets.

Zalando India closed down abruptly after failing to make significant sales. I wonder if this will happen to Zalora.

When I saw Zalora PH website and realized it’s contact address is at Jupiter St, Makati, it looks like online retailing is swinging up in the Philippines. Plus there’s another one doing it’s own waves http://goods2send.com, and no, this is not a paid post too 🙂
