While most know OPPO for its stylish smartphones and camera innovations, the brand is also quietly building impact far beyond retail shelves. In a recent community initiative, OPPO Philippines donated 18 computer sets and essential school supplies to Dalipit Elementary School in Cuenca, Batangas, helping bridge the digital divide for young learners in a rural classroom.
More than 130 students from Grades 1 to 6 received new school supplies, while the computer donation aims to enhance the school’s digital learning setup—something that has become increasingly vital in today’s tech-driven world. For many students, it’s their first encounter with modern computers—a big leap from the traditional chalk-and-board setup.
The handover wasn’t just a simple photo op. Barangay leaders and school officials were present to express their deep appreciation. Barangay Councilor Mary Ann Pascual shared, “Dalipit Elementary School is truly blessed. Many schools are in need of computer sets, and we are grateful ours was chosen.” Barangay Captain Felicisima Jumarang echoed the sentiment, adding, “We pray OPPO continues to grow so more communities can benefit from your generosity.”
Representing OPPO Philippines during the turnover was Edison Gaw, the brand’s Operations, Human Resources, and Legal Director, who spoke directly to the students. His message was simple yet powerful: value your education, listen to your parents and teachers, and lead with kindness—even at a young age.
At its core, this effort is about giving kids a fighting chance. And while a set of computers may not change the world overnight, it can spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence—all essential traits in shaping the next generation of thinkers and doers.
Through efforts like this, OPPO reminds us that tech brands can (and should) play a role in shaping the communities they serve—not just through devices, but through action.
