I dug up a copy of Chuck Norris: Bring on the Pain for P50.00. Found it under a list of related games after downloading Zombie Infestation from the title menu.
“Chuck Norris does not need batteries to run this game on his phone.”
Fast paced, entertaining, and in keeping with the soul of Chuck Norris literature, Bring on the Pain was probably fun to develop as the guys from Gameloft
Bring on the Pain is pretty much a side scrolling beat em up akin to NES titles like Double Dragon and Streets of Rage. In this series, Chuck is on a politically correct quest to stop the Reds from invading Texas. At the end of every level, he can purchase new moves (i.e. Bang!: Chuck kills an enemy with the tip of his finger) that allow him to slide, throw, jump kick and dash across the screen sending enemies flying. Different modes of play within each level add to the dynamism and humor which Gameloft builds on pretty well.
Chuck can grab vehicles and bales of hay (“A pile of hay handled by a professional can be very deadly”) and use them as weapons. There are various cut scenes where Chuck displays absurd feats of strength (Before the end of a level, Chuck grabs a car and throw it in the air … only to land midway into the next stage on a platoon of Reds).
“If Chuck showed his real super powers in this game, your phone will melt.”
All in all, Bring on the Pain is one of those titles you’d want to download on your mobile phone. The controls are fairly easy to use from your mobile and each stage doesn’t last longer than 5 minutes. One cool design perk is that you can use the camera on your phone to take a photo to replace the default heads in the game. Oh what a dream come true! Now you can make Chuck roundhouse kick your friends! Download it now from Sandbox.
