In fact, they’ve risen from the spoils of war from the previous console war and have made a rather strong statement for gamers with the launch of the Playstation 4 (PS4) this month in the Philippines as the ultimate gaming console. And it’s working.
The PS4 is a next-generation console. By “next gen†we mean that this package will bring utter joy to your living room for the next ten years which is the projected lifecycle for every gaming generation. Out of the box, the PS4 package contains the actual unit, one DualShock 4 controller and a free three month trial to Playstation Plus (PS+) which is Sony’s premium membership tier for downloading games and watching movies over the Playstation Network. PSN is sort of like the iTunes of Sony games. It is important to note that PS+ is required for gamers who want to indulge in online multiplayer matches.
