Sitti hads to come back to the stage twice for encores. She can really light the place up with her back to basics bossa nova. That’s her being called back to the centerstage. Cute! I was able to talk to her before the gig and told her how my dad and I were fans. I had thought Sitti was a foreign artist at first (her album is overplayed in Power Books) until she sang that Filipino track in her debut album.
Of course, I just had to get myself a fan shot. My friend Jenny and I went to the back of the resto not realizing it was the backstage hangout of the artists. Jenny had been telling me how she always wanted a picture with Sitti, and the next thing you know, the Queen of Bossa Nova comes up and sits beside her and the two end up chatting for several minutes before her set.
Don’t forget to grab a copy of BURN Magazine! W00t!

Hi Jayvee,
I hope you wouldn’t mind if I post your blog entry to a Sitti dedicated forum http://www.sitti.proboards101.com . I’ll link the thread to your article.
Thanks.
Lawrence
