Hands on with the Lenovo P770 – dual SIM, 3500mAh battery, USB OTG; yours for PHP 11,999

It’s finally here. I’ve been writing about Lenovo for months but no other phone has generated this much excitement than the P770. And we can’t blame them: this is the phone that addresses the #1 concern of most mobile warriors: battery life. Although sightly thicker than most smartphones to date, the trade off of the P770 is its amazing 3500mah battery which is essentially 3x the capacity of an iPhone 5 battery and slightly higher than the Galaxy Note II (but remember the Note II uses up more power because of the bigger screen and processing speeds).

A month of trips, product launches and parties with a special word from Microsoft!

October is a busy month for tech and that comes to no surprise as this is the month that the IT companies roll out their aces in time for the holiday shopping spree. If consumers are going to spend for that new gadget, it’s going to happen within the next 90 days. Last week I just came from the province of Xiamen in China where local dealers and the media were given a tour of the Lenovo factory for tablets and smartphones. We toured the amazing phone museum (photo wall above) and several portions of the manufacturing process (photo below). The Lenovo plant churns out 15 million units per year with 2,799 employees. Together with Open Communications, Lenovo PH launched three killer devices for the holidays and will be unveiling their first Smart TV before Christmas.

Lenovo launches two new dual SIM phones: 3.5″ A60+ for PHP 4,999 and 5″ S880 for PHP 14,999

UPDATE: BOOM! CES 2013. We have the lowdown on 3 new Android phones announced with pricing! Check them out!

The dual SIM Lenovo S880 looks amazing in white.

Lenovo is becoming more and more agressive with their phone launches. The other day, Lenovo Global paid a visit to the Philippines to introduce two new phones — the A60+ and the S800. In summary, the A60+ is the spiritual successor to two phones they launched in the last few months — the Lenovo A60 and the Lenovo A65. To those of you who bought an A65, you **might** experience some buyer’s regret as the new A60+ comes with more or less the same specs, with a slightly different form factor. It is also more affordable at only PHP 4,999.00
