Animal Cruelty. You don’t do this to your pet.

UPDATE III: Jerzon is not an employee of said car company. He was a student on OJT. He has already finished his OJT with the company. Confirmed through sources within company.
UPDATE II: He will be sued by PAWS.
UPDATE: He said sorry.
A million pardons. I don’t usually write about things like this but it really sickens me to see pet owners mistreat their pets. A guy named Jerzon Senador has posted rather disturbing photos of his puppy clipped to the sampayan to dry after a bath. The photos are on Facebook.
I’m a dog lover myself — we have one Hondo Vicente (um, please like his fan page!), and he’s spoiled to death at home. If you can’t take care of a dog, don’t bother getting one!
The kid obviously has no idea of the gravity of this act, along other people who have left comments. There’s nothing “cute” about it. To date, a number of online pet lovers have already covered this and sent in reports to animal welfare groups such as PAWS.
As the guy seemingly works for a leading motor company where I have friends, I’ll have a word with some of the bosses. Actually, forget this. If you do a Google search for his name …
To those wondering, what he just did is punishable by Republic Act No. 8485 (The Animal Welfare Act of 1998). It is “unlawful for any person to torture any animal.” The fine is 6 months to 2 years imprisonment / fine ranging fromm ₱1,000 to ₱5,000.
There is already a hate page on Facebook. Bloggers and people on the FB wall have posted professional info such as his Work Detail which is why I found it prudent to already send a message to his employers before shit hit the fan. It’s not to save his face. It’s to ensure that the company is aware that they have a situation involving their employee and whether they act on it or not is completely up to them.
