How I feel about the Steam Sale these days

steam sale comics

Loaded up USD .00 for the Steam sale this holiday season. I now have a more strict criteria for games as I’ve a little one-week old bundle of joy beside me. No MMO’s, no games that require quick reflexes. I did buy games that have a big single player experience so I can pause anytime. More into that one of these days. This season, I bought Dead Island and Saints Row the Third.

Ciao for now!

Nokia introduces dual SIM Asha 205 with ‘Slam’ Bluetooth Media Sharing; yours for PHP 2,680

nokia asha 205 price photo philippins review slam

For only PHP 2,860.00, you can own the new Nokia Asha 205. That gives you a dual SIM feature-phone that puts social first by allowing you to easily share your media to other friends using the exclusive ‘Slam’ software developed by Nokia. Essentially, this app is a Bluetooth file sharer, allowing you to send photos, video and other media to friends in the vicinity of Bluetooth (that’s about a 20 feet vicinity). If you’re not up for that feature, you still get a great battery-rich phone and borrows the dedicated Facebook hardware button, a feature originally seen in the HTC ChaCha.

A Guide to buying LEGO (and its imitations)

fake lego knockoffs imitations

They go by many names:

Pirated LEGO.
Cheap LEGO knock offs.
China-made LEGO.
LEGO imitations.

The nomenclature will always change but there’s no doubt that they’re all referring to the same thing: the prolific rise of LEGO imitations in bazaars around the metro. Whether you found them in Toys R’ Us, Toy Kingdom, the NBC Tent Weekend Bazaar or the Zonta Filinvest Christmas bazaar a few weeks ago, one thing’s for sure: they’re here to stay. I had some free time before the holidays and actually compiled the latest and the greatest LEGO competitors in the market today from Japan, Canada, South Korea and China.

16 Reasons Why the World Won’t End Today

8list parlade end of the world

We’re two thirds into December 21 and as expected, the world isn’t ending today. Last week, our 8LIST team was hammering away on the predictions and after a number of meetings (mostly interrupted by LEGO breaks) we came up with not one — but two articles from our contributors, Andrei Parlade and Mihk Vergara.
