Samsung ATIV Smart PC (running Windows 8) greenlit for PHP 35,000

Finally after being one of the first to unveil its stable of Windows 8 devices way before the launch of Microsoft’s new touch-enabled OS, Samsung finally has a price to the flagship ATIV Smart PC and it is at an attractive PHP 35,000.00. This is for the “entry” level Smart PC running the new Atom processor.

What’s their take on Windows 8? They took what make the Galaxy Note 2 a success: the S-pen and added a compartment for a full keyboard and mouse so you can, just like many other Windows 8 tablets, use it as a laptop or a full tablet. Together with the Smart PC, Samsung also completed their entry to the Windows 8 ecosystem with the ATIV S running Windows Phone 8 and their all-in-one Windows 8 desktop PC.

The Samsung ATIV Smart PC runs the full Windows 8 (not the RT version) and will sell for PHP 35,xxx.00 in the coming weeks.

N.B. This has yet to be confirmed for all devices but please note that Windows RT takes up 16GB of space. A 32GB tablet will only have 16GB free for your files and 3rd party apps. Here is a more detailed explanation from Microsoft.
