Wide angle reefscape shots of Anilao

Posted by Jayvee Fernandez at October 24th, 2012

Over the weekend, I flooded my camera. Thank heavens I was able to save everything. Luckily it happened when I dunked the system into the freshwater basin to check for leaks and when I saw the flashing red light on the moisture sensor, I immediately pulled the housing out, set it down on a towel and opened it.

The water was absorbed by three leak insure packets and there was some water left on the dome port. There is a God — the camera and lens were undamaged and the housing was fine. After checking everything (o-rings, lint, etc), I dumped the system again (this time w/o a camera) and it was A-OK.

That was the green light for a day of epic diving.

Moral: Leak Insure is the best.
