DiscOVIries Week 2 Contest: Asian Poses

Because we all like the NYAN NYAN!

poses

Welcome to Week 2 of Nokia’s DiscOVIries Contest! I hope you all had fun submitting your entries. In fact, I would have wanted this guy to win the contest, but he’s still probably playing Left for Dead. Last week’s contest winner will be announced tomorrow.

Now since last week required a workstation shot which apparently, some people did not have we’re making this week’s theme and mechanics more enjoyable!

The Theme: Asian Poses

Asian Poses have become a mainstay in Internet pop culture. Here is a list of Asian Poses for your reference.

Denise and Yvette demonstrate the 'Nyan Nyan' and 'Pleading' poses

What to upload: A self portrait of you or your friends doing your favorite Asian Pose. You can invent your own pose if they’re not listed. You can use props. You can use any camera whether it be from a phone or from a regular point and shoot or SLR. What’s important is that you put a title to your pose, name and OVI email. Although you do not need to identify what pose you are assuming (like the example above c/o my good friends from UNO Magazine, Denise and Yvette), it would be nice if you did. Masterfully done, BTW.

The Rules:
The complete set of rules can be found at the Nokia DiscOVIries page. This is the contest for Week 2 – October 5 to October 11. You can submit as many entries as you want. Choosing the winner will be via a web Randomizer, which means that the more poses you submit, the better your chances of winning are! Don’t forget to label your photos with your OVI email and name. Full details here. Cutoff for each week will be every Sunday at 11:59 PM

The prize is still PHP 2,000 in Ayala eGC and the winner will also have a chance to win a brand new phone. Good luck and get those poses coming!
