the insight wasn’t meant to put pinoys high up on a pedestal or degrade other people from different nationalities. it was just an observation based on the types of blog applications i receive on a day to day basis. pinoys who write WELL (there are those who suck) tend to have a certain style that is very westernized, hence the hiring. its not to discriminate against others. that’s not to say that i get writers from other countries who are also as good or better. im just saying, in the sum total of asia-based applications, pinoys SEEM to have a better command of westernized english when it comes to writing.

maybe it sounded discriminatory when i said it. so i apologize.

Just wanted to stop by and share some thoughts with you after recently seeing a copy of the bloggers conference you hosted recently for Trend Micro, eastwood city, Libis, Philippines.

First I would like to say you seem to be a cool, down to earth, good Filipino person. That being said, I must admit that one of your comments while watching a video really caught me by surprise. I’m referring to your comment, “Filipino’s are better writers in English than writers in the west…”

L.F.A.O!! With all due respect my good man, Are you on crack?? Listen, I’m glad that you want to encourage Pinoys to write blogs but “In no wild stretch of imagination are Filipinos better writers than westerners..” You’re either high on your mediocre success as a blogger or your simple on drugs.. Not only do Filipinos represent less than 1% of world bloggers, they’re simply not known for good quality writing or blogging in general.. If fact they’re known not for quality but for low cost, period.

I hope in the future before making such unsubstantiated statements that you take your own advice and do a little research. Please refrain from making such claims in the future and I do hope you approve this comment, otherwise I’d be forced to blog this in further detail… Good day!
