They wouldn't want to leave all the post-sales support to the "official distributors", that's just very un-Apple-esque, and the fact that both Smart and Globe post-sales are nightmares in their own regard but nightmares altogether - I rest my case. Although, that's not certain. Until a Mr. S. Jobs says anything, we're not sure. Personally I think the company that can give them the most EDGE coverage and the unlimited data plan will win out.
