Cupcakes by Sonja at Serendra

I just came back from a mini reunion with a college friend. Having heard that the gimik area of Serendra at the Fort was already open, we opted to try out the restaurants there. We had a good dinner at Portico – but what got both of us excited was a small Serendipity-ish store called Cupcakes by Sonja (Sonja makes the cupcakes, Sylvia makes the flowers?).

Oh god, the cupcakes were to die for (oh no, I’m starting to write with a funny accent). We both had the flourless chocolate cupcakes which surprisingly weighted rather heavily when we picked them up. I also took home a few vanilla cupcakes with frosting (pictured above) which I am eating right now as I blog, making this post take longer than usual. The cupcakes have prices that range from P48.00 to P60.00. They are definitely worth the price, especially the flourless chocolate cupcake that looks like it is actually one whole chocolate cake crammed into a 2″ x 2″ foil.

The new restos at the Serendra are a great place to bring dates, rekindle friendships with old friends and propose marriage. LOL

I’d like to thank Vince Yamat for recommending these new “date” places.

  • Lots of of bloggers aren’t too happy with this new iPad.There was too much hoopla about it and alot people got disapointed. You see, I can actually see great deal of the cool potential uses of this gadget. Third-party apps for working with music, games, newsprints and magazines and FFS books, tons of awesome stuff, but IMHO they failed to sell it very well (aside from the books). It smells rather incomplete
